Has anyone had the torque converter grinding noise issue fixed under warranty?

I've got a 2010 Sport Automatic with about 47,000 miles on it. For about 18 months, my car has been making the grinding noise when accelerating through 1500 RPM that others have reported (the one that people say is caused by the torque converter). The noise is getting louder and more frequent. I've got 1 month left on my OEM warranty. Has anyone brought their Fit in for this issue under warranty? If so, did the service department do anything to repair it... and was it at your expense or covered under the warranty?

I've got a service appointment at a local dealer next week which I am dreading ... they were rude on the phone, and they've repeatedly threatened that they're going to charge me $135 for the appointment if it turns out to be something not covered under warranty.

Wow. I'd definitely take it to another dealer. I'm interested to know how this goes. I've only had my Fit for a month and have noticed the low RPM grinding. I didn't know this was a common issue.
