15x7 Draglite rims, but no centering rings

So I am buying locally some used Draglite 15x7 rims (15.8 lbs) but the guy I'm buying it from has no centering rings. I know from previous experience that even lug-centric rims will not 100% save you from vibration due to slight imbalance while mounting rims. Centering rings are strongly advised usually. Not sure where to order specific centering rings (still not sure about hub bore size of Draglite rims - should be around 73mm or so - will know later) or maybe I can let tire shop mount rims for me - do you guys know if they usually have some default set of centering rings for all (or most) rims or I need to buy my own ones? Thanks.

Ok, ordered centering rings. Now I have a question what tire would be best for 15x7 rim for Fit? I want to keep as close to stock as possible, meaning not to wide tire.

I already bought it. Not sure how long ad will stay on kijiji, but hopefully you can still check it. They are dirty in the pictures, but in reality they are in pristine condition, tires are garbage. I'll order winter tires. The thing is I'm not sure what size tire would be optimal for that 15x7 rim. i mean 7'' wide rim can't really have 175/65 stock tire on - or at least I don't want to stretch it - I'm looking for more comfort ride. So I was thinking 185 or 195 maybe? I know for winter narrower tires are better, but with this rim I can't put 175 on it. I mean normally one would put 205 or so on 7'' wide rim - but that's not good for Honda Fit in winter - is it? Plus MPG will suffer most probably.

195/60/15 or 185/65/15 are good tire sizes if you're not looking for performance tires and want to keep close to stock diameter. Either would fit fine on a 7", but I think 195 would be optimal.

Thanks I think I go with 195/60/15 then.

P.S. I'm ready to pull the trigger on 195/60/15 winter tires, but just wanted to ask one more time if 195 is ok for Fit in winter? I mean usually people go with narrower tire for winter to cut through snow instead of "floating" on top with wider tires. So optionally I can try going with 185 (a little bit of stretch on 7'' wide rim), if that will get me better grip in winter. However, we are talking about very slight differences here - not sure if that's going to make a noticeable difference?

Why not keep these for summer and use the stock for winter?

I normally would do exactly that. However, my stock steel rims have almost new 175/65/15 all-season tires that I'm afraid to be honest stretch to 7'' rim. So most probably I'll just buy 195 winter tire for 7'' rim. And maybe in the future (when those stock 175 will worn up) I'll finally buy wider tire for summer use - then I'll definitely switch like you said. It's all not the way it should be - I know, but it wasn't my choice - when I imported car from my parents - I got what already was there on stock. So have to live with it.

I wouldn't worry too much about 10mm difference in width, but yes I suggested the 195 over 185 due to rim width, but you could just as well fit a 185 on there if it makes you feel more comfortable, the sidewall is tall and will conform, it's not really much of a stretch at all.

Black3sr do you know any good tire shops in Kitchener area that have HunterForce balancing system or just good tire shops? Will need to put winter tires on rims later this week. Thanks.

I have no idea who would have that equipment. The garage in Belmont Village is good.

I had my last set of tires mounted and balanced in New Hamburg at my Dodge dealer. They did a super job with my Rotas. No shimmy whatsoever without centering rings too. Also I had my winter ones balanced last Fall at WalMart in Sunrise. Did just fine.

So lots of choices. Drop by on the weekend and show me. I am getting my snows on on Monday in New Hamburg.
