New to the Honda thing

Figure this is a good place to introduce myself.

Long time owner and lover of Subaru's decided to see how the Kool-Aid tastes over here. Just purchased my first ever non-symmetrical all wheel drive vehicle, a 2009 Honda Fit Sport w/MT. Traded my Impreza with 175,000 miles, and two accidents (deer and a semi-truck that tried sharing lanes with me on the highway). Hopefully, I'll be able to fit in just fine

I was a mechanic in my former life and look forward to posting on the DIY boards, and getting tips as well.

Sincerely,
jeeves

Welcome, Jeeves. I think we'll get along just fine as I, too, am new to the Honda brand. I purchased a pre-owned 2013 Sport and I own two Subaru's - a 2013 Outback (wife's car) and a 2007 Forester XT MT (semi-STi swapped and lots of goodies). I bought the Fit (AT) as a daily driver since my new job has me commuting quite a ways and the modded Forester wasn't cutting it in terms of MPG.

I hope you enjoy the Fit. I was surprised at how well it handled in its stock form and I am enjoying it for what it offers (utility, ~35 mpg, sporty handling, etc). I am going to keep it bone-stock in terms of performance mods and use it strictly as a DD. Plus having a 3rd car gives me an excuse to add more mods to the Foz

Anyway, I'm looking forward to your DIY's. Enjoy your stay.
