Power source for under hood relay

Power source for under hood relay
Hello everyone, I am installing some DRLs on my 2009 Fit Sport. I am going the same rout I have always gone for wiring them on other cars, that is, using the + wire on the wiper motor to activate a relay which powers the DRLs. This method has worked for me on every car I have owned, Hondas, Toyotas, Mitsubishis, etc. The DRLs turn on with the ignition swithc in ON, and turn off qhen I turn off the engine.
In my Fit, I found the + wire on the wiper motor which delivers 12 volts when the ignition switch is ON, but for some reason I ignore, when I plug back the wiper motor the voltaje drops to zero. Therefore, my method is not working here.
My question is, is there another source I could use to actívate the relay under the hood?
All help will be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

Thanks DWils, if I understand correctly this thread shows the power source comming from the fusebox below the steering wheel. I am trying to avoid that because of the tight space under there but it seems I have no alternative but to go this route. Thanks very much for your help.

It may not be the easiest thing to do, but if you use an add-a-circuit/fuse it will be better than tapping into some random wires. I have a 2007, not a 2009 so our fuse boxes are different. If you contact luismycorreo he should be able to help you with which fuse to use. Good luck! Post pictures when you're all done.

Well, finally finished the installation today. I ended up powering the relay from the OEM DRL fuse. I wanted to avoid that because I did not wanted to get a wire across the firewall but, I had no alternative.
My DRLs are homemade using 3 3-watt eagle eye COB leds each. I mounted the leds on a custom box made out of tin. I had to go custom because I installed the DRLs vertically just beside the foglights, which has a slight inclination so I could not mount them directly to the bumper.
Ended up really bright so they should work fine as DRLs.
