Sat in 2015 Fit today
Notes from my impressions of the new Fit, without driving it:
- Looks much better in person
- Noticeably shorter in length than current Fit
- No more triple door seals on doors, but sound deadening material in wheel wells and trunk
- Slightly less elbow room at doors
- Better materials throughout cabin
- Much less headroom front and rear
- Dash is much higher, a little further away
- Turned on car while parked and turned wheel - lighter, more artificial steering
- Impressive rear legroom. Better foot room under front seats and about 2 inches more knee room.
- Cargo room is smaller due to slightly higher floor and more intrusion by rear wheel wells
- Visibly less room with rear seat folded flat. Higher floor may be responsible
Car still has impressive room, it's just a testament to how great the GE is. I plan to keep my GE for much longer. Mine is coming up on 6 years, and I love this car!
