USB Dongle for Radio
Hey guys whats up? So I'm rocking my 09 Fit sport and I want to use my stock radio w USB connection to stream music from my iPhone using Bluetooth. Has anyone tried this or had any success with it? I'm not looking to tear apart the radio, I just want to plug in a usb device in the upper glove box rather than my iPhone and allow it to become bluetooth'd for the ride.
Thoughts or ideas on the subject? I have seen some threads about plugging something int the aux port (lame) or putting in a different radio unit.

The USB connection on the Fit's stock radio isn't like a USB connection on a computer. It doesn't have the driver software necessary to interface with a bluetooth dongle. The Fit's primitive USB module only talks to file systems stored on a USB drive or to iThingies.
Maybe someone makes a smart USB bluetooth dongle/access-point that emulates a wired usb connection, but I doubt it. googling it didn't come up with anything.
Any elegant solution would mean changing the radio for one with bluetooth built in.

I have a iphone 5s and I'll open pandora or iTunes Radio start playing it and using the USB , hook it up. It's not streaming via bluetooth but you get song titles and can skip music. It's better than streaming I believe quality wise and it charges your phone. I agree the cord is a little annoying but it doesn't bother me too much.
