2009 Fit

I don't see that happening. If it did then The fit would compete with the civic. Which would be pointless for honda to make competititon for itself. I see the price going up $500-$1000 and honda making options for the Fit (ex. dead pedal, center armrest, Nav, ect.)

On page 61 of this thread it has the autoblog & egmcartech base price at $14,620 which is an increase of $670.

Guag, is this the US model you're photoshopping or the JDM? I can't tell them apart from that 3/4 view (but i sure can from the side)... just wondering. Nice work BTW!

09 fit
I like the Gauges in the 09 thats about it. the dash looks bare with all the knobs on the driverside and all the buttons on the steering wheel. also i dont like the exterior styling it looks like the new mercades/yaris/matrix/versa all mixed together.......... hmmm i guess thats why i bought an 08

Awd?
I read the most of the thread for the past couple months or so, but did not see any conformation on AWD. But I saw this:
"New to 2009, owners can now choose between front and all-wheel drive."
This is the link, four paragraphs down. I know that the Japanese 1st already have the option of AWD (right?), so now being "able to choose" means the rest of us can have it too? I'll be pissed if only the Canadians get it.
sorry if this is a repost, I must have missed it...

"Transmission choices for the new Fit include a five-speed automatic, a five-speed manual and a CVT automatic."
Well, in North America, we will get the first two, but not the CVT. So which market is the author referring to? Or is the author talking only about the aggregate global market? Problematically, his/her word on AWD is in a sentence immediately preceding the transmission talk. The author simply says,
"New for 2009, owners can now choose between front and all-wheel drive."
The targeted market is again not specified. Since in Japan they have always had the choice between FWD and AWD, the author must be talking about a different market. As far as I know, there are no plans to introduce the AWD Fit in the U.S. So where else? We cannot tell from this article....
