2009 Fit

I am so glad I got the '08. The '09 just doesn't have the original model's . . . I don't know, its character, its elan. I keep looking at the pix of the redesign and shaking my head, especially when I see the '09 from the side with that long sloping front end. To me, the thing doesn't look as upbeat and capable; instead, it looks unbalanced. I'm sure it will be a great car and will please the many people who end up buying one. But aesthetically it's not the equal of the first gen. My opinion only -- others will disagree, and that's fine. I know this ground has been trodden over many, many times, and I'm not out to insult anybody, but I wanted to make my opinion known. Let's all enjoy our Fits!

Well durn, just when this car was sounding so interesting...you see we are looking for just the right car to be our dingy - for those who don't RV it...that means towable.... The Fit manual tranny was looking pretty good...good milage - easy for granny and gramps to drive and the weight is perfect for towing 4 wheels down behind a gas powered RV...~/~ still gonna take a test drive...who really gives a hoot if they change its looks.

Hope that helps!

Took one of those pics of the red 09, made it black, lowered it about 2 inches, and slapped some nice rims on. I love Photoshop
And with the stock wheels...

SWEET! It comes out on my birthday!!
The redesigned 2009 Fit arrives on our shores October 1. If oil prices remain extraordinarily high, so too will demand for the new car.
