The bottomline is: If you think it's wise to overpay for a car, then go ahead and do it. Stop spending so much time trying to convince others that it's a good idea.

Enjoy overpaying for your car.
It's not overpaying if you genuinely need the car, have half a brain and know how to haggle or work a deal in your favor.

Good job addressing the other valid points I made.

Done.

fully refundable!! He wanted me to pick a color from this years colors, told him I would wait for the official colors. I think the sales manager knew when they were going to be delivered because my sales guy asked him and he told him he didnt want to say anything so as not get in trouble.

You do realize that its release date is approximately 5-6 months away at the very least right?

I called all four Honda dealerships in the central/northern KY area today to see if they had any info on the 09 fit. Two were clueless, and the other two told me that they were out in September. Nobody really knew anything about prices, colors, or specific options (other than the navi and USB). None of the dealers had any pre-orders, so I think I'll wait a few months before I look into it more. One dealership did tell me that they would try and get at least one of each color in base and sport as soon as they could.

Mmmmm, this one looks suspiciously like a Pontiac Vibe....In fact, I am dead sure that it IS a Vibe. Was this post supposed to be in jest?

don't bust a nut over the new improved mpg, just wait till the fcx clarity or fit hybrid comes out and save your money for that. the amount and manner in which we use energy is about to change alot quicker than you'd think.

Uh, you do realize those are only made available in California, where there's a VERY VERY small hydrogen infrastructure, right? And the lease payments are almost the same as the monthly payments on an Audi R8.

Likin' it more and more and the front doesn't look bad at all like the pics that were released. The side is great, the back is way better, the window by the side mirror is bigger and obviously gives more visibility. Too bad they don't open up like vent windows from older cars like the old VW Rabbits and Beetles.

09>07/08 hands down,
Like I said, if I owned an 07/08 and in the 09 they came out with a redesign, I'd be pretty pissed about that, especially if I pumped some coin into it already.
