I have over 100K now on two of the three...we drive the snot out of them! All I've done is tires and oil changes. I'm thinking I may put wiper blades on this winter! They've been better than the Matrix - all in all...

Just bought our first Hyundai this past summer. It has 30K on it already and it's also been trouble free - except new shoes, of course.

We will put an engine block heater on it for this winter, to plug it in on those cold AM's on the northern prairie!

It's not as refined, or as quick as the Fit...but it's comfy and gets the job done.

I like the way that the new fits look more like minivans...that plus for probably a few extra thousand you can get a sunroof that doesn't open....sounds like a great deal to me, plus you don't have to worry about getting a reliable model that has been in production for 5-7 years...you can get an all new one and work the bugs out the first few years....i cant wait till they get here!

To each his own. I much prefer the Prius/Mercedes A-class look of the new model to the Chevy Aveo with body cladding stolen from Suzuki Aerio SX look of the current model.

Also the new Matrix will lose it's square-ish back for extra-raked rear glass. I like the more boxy look myself. Let's not even bring up the new WRX rear hatch...

The current Fits are pretty reliable. The airbags in them will work properly unless they're driven in the following states: Connecticut, Delaware, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, Virginia, West Virginia, Wisconsin, and Washington D.C.

I wonder if the next Fit will have more problems since its a brand new model, and it going to be made in the US.
Its still a Honda so i doubt it.

If it is coming from within the US vs. overseas, shouldn't we get a lower destination charge? Yeah, like that will happen...

For those of view who agree with my opinion and do not yet have a fit... nows the time to buy one . go go go! haha
I would hardly think it is disgusting (not dicusting). But it looks alot more like a mini-van. This car is geared toward women more then men. And that is not just my opinion, even edmunds said the car is more geared toward woman. I wish that it had more HP. Even 118 is not alot in this day and age. The gas mile still is not that great. If you want a car that gets gas miles, get the Pirus or the Civic Hybrid.

If you want a car with power, get the Civic Si or a Mustang. Couldn't find a source that any Fits are being made in the U.S. Link?

You're complaining about a $695 delivery charge?? We pay $1295 here...and it increases by quite a bit depending on the make. I know for some Acuras...like the MDX...it is almost $1900.

It's sad but true.

Its really strange how they calculate shipping pricing. Civics for the North American market are assembled and shipped from a plant about an hour from Toronto, Ontario. Shipping to someone in say Toronto is still going to pay at least 1295...whereas anyone from the US will pay the 700. Its not only Honda...its pretty well every company. I know there are many different assembly plants located in Ontario.

They are not being produced in the USA;however the new Honda plant being built in Indiana may be flexible enough to bulid them by 2010

We'll have to wait and see

Sorry...bad picture.

Beyond the redesign did they talk about possible power plants, that is hybrid technology. I've heard alot of buzz and read a possible MPG of 70+.

I won't be a happy camper if my Fit becomes obsolete in just 1 year.

What's up with the other models? None of the others are due for a redesign, are they? You did say they had all 2008 models there.
Seen those magazine renderings and photoshop pics throughout this thread, yet on the second page the pic of the real Fit was posted on Aug 2006. This pic is the exact same one that appeared a year later......really like how the climate controls are near the driver but I kinda like the stock radio on the old Fit better.....ah.........just waiting....

Acura $715
Audi $775
BMW $775
Cadillac $745
Chevrolet $825 for corvette, $565 for Aveo
Ford $745
Honda $635

Infinity $715
Kia $625
Jaguar $665
Land Rover $715
Lexus $765
Lincoln $740

Mercedes $775
MINI $650
Nissan $625
Porsche $795
Saab $745
Saturn $620
