Car makes scraping noise when going over bumps
#24
Had a similar sound. A cross between a plastic scrape and rubber creaking. Mine came from the back end. I jacked up the back of the car, loosened the top bolt on the rear damper, pushed the bolt down enough to spray a bit of graphite in between the rubber top to the damper & the metal. No more sound. I am lowered but I have plenty of clearance.

Have the same thing here. Noticed it the last few years.
Also noticed that it only happens in the winter.
Seeing others mentioning the same thing has me even more certain now that the noise is the result of something in the suspension (happens going over speed bumps for me) getting noisy when it's cold (enough).

Similar problem
This is kind of a weird issue I've been having for a few weeks. Everything is fine when traveling on flat ground, but once I drive over a speed bump or hit a dip in the road, I hear a scraping/grinding noise. At first I thought it was the splash guard or something hitting the ground, but nothing seems to be out of position.
Does anyone know what this could be?
