2011 or 2013 model?

Hello, just had a test drive with the fit and decided it's the car for me. The visibility is ridiculous and makes me feel safe knowing I can see so much of the road.
Now the dealership has both a certified used 20k miles 2011 and new 2013s. Price is very similar after interest.
Which model should I get? I see the 2011 has ac problems and 2013 had a traction control recall.
From what I can tell there is barely any difference besides price and warranty.
Any suggestions?

In 2012 they improved the sound deadening.

Apparently the recall only affects the 2012/13 Sport model. Not the base models.

If they're base models, the 2013 has a few additional niceties that the 2011 lacks—keyless entry and/or cruise control, I think. (Both are definitely in the 2012 and 2013 models; I don't know exactly how far back they were added.) If they're sport models, there's not a lot of equipment differences.

The stability control recall isn't anything to be concerned about; it's basically just a computer software update to meet certain government standards. They'd presumably do it before you take the car home.

It seems to me that, if the prices are essentially the same, it's a no-brainer to get the new car rather than the one that has depreciated (but somehow isn't cheaper). I was faced with a very similar decision when I bought my Fit, and it took me maybe 1.7 seconds to conclude that the new car was the better deal.

I found that buying new just made more financial sense over late-model used: full warranty, no questions about past owners, better financing.

Went with 2011

Thanks for the input! I ended up going with the 2011 as it was a cheaper option and I was able to have them drop the price twice. It has a clean carfax, and the highway noise isn't as bad as I have read about in reviews. It does have keyless entry, and a ridiculously sensitive gas pedal. I am happy with the buy so far and look forward to getting easier parking in queens!
