Dash Cam for my Fit

Got this camera a week ago. Nice camera and not super expensive. I made a quick vid. Installed nicely in the Fit. I'll probably get another one for the rear window. The camera can be found here0

Thanks for the review. I didn't notice any audio on your video. The video quality is very nice, but does it also do audio?

according to the product page, it does have a microphone.

maybe Shockwave turned it off so you wouldn't hear him singing along to his favorite tune?

Yeah it has good audio. I keep it off though. You'd be more likely to hear me cursing out coma drivers than anything else. I also see I went through a number stop signs! LOL! Amazing what you do on a daily route. I think I was late for work that night. That's my story anyway. And that fire truck man, that came out of NOWHERE. They were driving way too aggressive imo. I understand the deal but that was actually a close call.

There's a great review on this camera too, here-

WS300W Dash Cam vs 4Sight Dash Cam...

I just mounted a 4Sight dash cam recently. In comparison with yours, our daytime videos are similar. As for audio, mine is good, but I can't compare it to yours, since your sound was turned off. Where your dash cam "shines" is shown in your night time videos...your footage is much brighter than what the 4Sight is capable of. I may get one like yours for the front mounting, and use my 4Sight for the rear.
Thanks for sharing!

I'll have to check on my better pc but I think youtube hosed some of the daytime footage where the car is up to speed. This camera is a WDR camera so night shots are very good. But if your camera has exposure settings you could try adjusting to get a good day/night balance. Also in my daytime shots these days the windshield is pretty ugly. We've had a warm up with rain and all salt down on the roads is making the windshield ugly. And that's one reason why I kinda hesitate about a rear window camera. The rear window is usually marginal at best when winter really gets going. Still thinking on that one.

In my playlist there's a pretty clear night shot in the snow.

32 gigs will give you about five hours of 1080p recording time. That can be one round trip at 2 1/2 hours or so each way, or it can be a week or more of short hopping on a daily basis. It's not really about tons of recording room. A 16gb card would be fine too. I just went with 32gb. I also keep the recording blocks set to three minutes a piece. I had it set to five but settled on three. This thing is doing very well indeed.
