I bought the 2013 midnight plum fit sport inJanuary.... In February i had to tak it back for a 'touch up' bc rocks put 15(!!!!!!!!) Chips in the hood!!! And now i have 10+ more!!!! And the touch ups, dont look like i bought a 18-19000 car! Help! Anyonr else having this problem? Or any adive????
I called american honda and they said its an insurance problem not a honda problem! Im already frustrated with honda.advice would be VERY welcome!!!!

It's just the shape of the Fit, sadly. Thin paint. I've learned to accept it and move on. If it really bothers me, I can always remove the hood and have a body shop repaint it someday. In a few years, I probably will.
The upside: I've never had a single rock-chip on the windshield.

You haven't driven down the 605 fwy near the Irwindale raceway then lol. There is a rock/sand quarry by there so there are hundreds of rock/cement trucks pass though that freeway so my paint gets hammered every day. I think the best way to aviod these annoyances is to invest in a 3M clear bra setup.

Also, just because they drive a truck for a living doesn't make them "professionals" at the act of driving.

Just ask because I do driving on all kinds of interstates, desert, mountain, snow and otherwise regularly and only have a few serious chips (and one dimple square in the middle, no idea what boulder did that).
I don't play around with gravel trucks or concrete trucks, I don't care what it takes I will get in front of them or two lanes to the side one way or another as soon as they're in sight. If I can't pass i'm sitting back 10 car lengths

Haha no, more of a 710 guy myself to get up that way, never took the 605 that far north more than a handful of times. In fact I avoided the 605 as much as possible (and the 10, what a POS lol)

LMAO dude i don't know what kinda of rubber rocks these fvckers carry but i can sit back 3 lanes to the left and 500ft back and i can still hear tons of the rocks hitting my hood and windshield. The only time i DONT get gravel hammered is on the way home where we are moving like errr 3mph or less in traffic lol.

Unfortunately, that doesn't help if the truck is passing you in the opposite direction and a rock falls off the load. Happened to my brand new Harley 18 years ago. I still have the dent in the front fender.
