2010 honda fit front jack point? near radiator?

i installed my lowering springs just jacking one side at a time. same with rear, did whole job with one jack and one stand.
Highly recommend avoiding anything otherthen the pinches behind each front tire and the center rear subframe bump

My floor jack doesn't fit... most likely because my Fit is a little lower on the Swift springs.
I use the scissor jack on one corner to lift the Fit up a bit, then slide the floor jack in and lift the whole corner. Sure, it's a little bit of effort, but not much. I would use a second floor jack, but I'm too lazy the broken smaller one I have.

I would never go under a car with just the jack, especially the fit. With the jack point that far back the car even rocks a little with just the jack supporting it.

I would still like to hear from someone who was brave enough to use the frame near the radiator to jack up the car.
It's just ridiculous to me that you'd have to buy a long reach jack just to put your front end up on jack stands. those things cost 300+ dollars.
like i said i used to jack up my old civic from the frame near the radiator. sure it dented a few places on the frame but it caused no major damage.

Do not jack the Fit from the sheet metal of the radiator support.
You are however, entitled to be a dumb ass and insist on doing it this way.

Wouldn't a dent on a frame piece be bad in general?

I had my front end off when I installed the towing plate, it attached to the frame, right and left of radiator, had to bend frame to match bar, once it is installed you would have a place to jack, BUT with the front end reinstalled it can't be seen. ;( so the plate between transmission and motor is the best choice.

i read in another thread and it looks like the rear jack point is a tow hook of sorts. I think my fit doesn't have one of those. should it be a bracket or platform then.
also fairly newbie question here but what would my fit be classified as. I hear terms thrown around such as GE8 and GE3.

My current floor jack fits under there but the handle is the problem. I can't move it since it is wedged against the body of the car.
Maybe I could turn the wheels all the way to one side to get better access.
almost have to jack the car up just to jack the car up lol

Yes that is the jack point. The head of the jack will fit between the lip, on the central round hump. BTW, it is about 3 feet back from the front edge of the bumper lip, so it helps if you have a long, low-profile jack. And driving onto some boards helps a lot.

I haven't had a problem with it. You can get around the handle hitting the body by driving up on some 2x8's before jacking the car up.

*of course, if you leave your pet elephant in the car while raising it, all bets are off.

haha...bent the lip. kinda had a feeling it would. I even wrapped the jack surface in soft duct tape to reduce denting
it might be because the jack surface that makes contact is not as wide as the lip...but still wtf?
