HELP - Recycled/Cabin Air Lever Stuck
#21
@john21031 That was it! After seeing that your plastic piece coming from the switch was actually inside the plastic piece attached to the flapper door, I realized mine was not. I bent it a little to get it over the flapper's plastic piece, and it finally snapped back into position and now works perfectly. Can't thank you enough! Thank you for taking the time to record the video as well. Really appreciate it. 🍻

I just now joined the forum so I could thank everyone for their answers to the above issue. I also was experiencing the 1/2 travel of the fresh/recirculate lever. Checked to see if the pin had pulled out of the track, no, that was fine. So... I pulled out the cabin filter and found a large nest of insulation and acorn shells on and above it. This is a car that I don't drive often, and the rodent took advantage of that fact. On the plus side, the lever works perfect now, but, I feel the need to spray some disinfectant or something up the air passageways, yuck.

Just another user chiming in with how helpful this thread has been, especially the videos. I was having the same issue with my 2013 Fit Sport. I accessed the linkage and just helped it through one closing cycle and now it works fine on its own. (That is, nothing seemed amiss or loose.) A tool-free 5-minute fix! Thanks!

Huzzah!!! This has been bugging me for years and I finally got fed up with the problem to google it and see if someone else had solved it. I had the same issue as pointed out in the videos. The lever had popped out of it's track.
