Shark fin antenna for 2011 Honda Fit

I want to replace the standard antenna with the Shark fin antenna:
Honda - SHARK-FIN ANTENNAS

Do's someone have experience with that?
In the original antenna there is an electronic circuit with a 2 feet long cable.

Thanks for your help,

2012fitfan had a pretty good review of the VG Shark Fin here:

The Visual Garage Shark Fin installs on top of the existing OEM antenna base. You attach the VG antenna wire to the OEM base before you install. The only thing you remove is the whip antenna. I can't speak to the Beat-Sonic install. I personally like the look of the VG Shark Fin over the Beat-Sonic.

Thank god I read this, the instructions from Visual Garage weren't written for people as stupid as me, I was sitting there trying to wrench the whole block off before I came in and decided to check FF for antenna removal instructions.

Once I realized I was stupid, antenna (and not base!) came right off, and installed the fin no problem.

Glad you got it all squared away.

I really like the Shark Fin over the whip antenna. Looks like it belongs on the car.

Just installed mine (VG Sharkfin) about a month ago - have driven several hundred miles, and washed a couple times, too. It's still holding on like a champ, and black on black looks like it fits perfectly with the car ('13 Base).

Have had mine installed for well over a year. Once you prep the area and stick it on, it's not going anywhere. VG did a great job with my Orangeburst metallic color match as well.

They also did a great job with Raspberry Blue Metallic. Very happy, and the radio performance is excellent.

Does it really improve radio quality?

Improve? I don't think so. But it doesn't seem to degrade it either. I was a bit skeptical when I saw what the actual antenna part was, but it seems to work.

Living in a pretty bad reception area (hills), the only difference I think there is, is that the sharkfin antenna might be more directional than the whip antenna. I have had small issues on the freeway where going around a bend will make the reception change slightly.
