Any difference from 2009 to 2012/13

I settled for a 2009 Fit, but really wanted a 2012 or 2013.

Is there a big difference between those years besides the wheels, and more sound proofing on newer models?

Didn't the steering wheel radio controls also get added to the whole sport line in 2012?

My buddy has a '10 and I have a '12. There are very minor differences. The only notable difference is in the front of the car:
- The headlights have that sweet dark/black background on the '12. The '10 didnt have that.
- The headlight extends all the way to the grill on the '12 vs seeing that little strip of plastic between the grill and headlight on the '10.

Interior wise:
- Honda claims there was sound deadening done, but honestly, it made no difference.
- Apparently the '12 only had the interior carpets that said 'FIT'? My buddy's '10 didnt get those.
- I think the color plastic changed for the head unit? I think '10 has the silver color and my '12 is all black

Thats about it lol..

The headlights are the same size. Prior, the models that had black headlight housings were the base models and Sport had chrome, now black is standard. The main frontal difference is the 09-11 looks more aggressive and i tend to think the 2012+ models grille appears too large without that bumper spacing the grille/headlights. The 2012+ Fit front bumper tends to look too much like the Toyota Matrix, the 09-11 looks more like the JP Aero body kit they had for the 350Z.

The 2012 model looks resmblmes this:

I went in yesterday, thinking of trading my '10 for a '13. No way. Minimal differences other than a Blue Tooth. Certainly not worth losing thousands trading in. I will wait till the new version comes out, according to the dealer, next year. If it doesn't or it is not to my liking, I will get a CR-V. Just bought a '13 CR-V, and love it.

I was thinking of how my 12 Fit Sport would look with fog lights in the lower grille.
