Some luck I've got...
I finally get around to replacing my broken fog lamp, and three weeks later this happens:
Had that rock gone just one hundreth of an inch higher it would have hit my wiper and I'd never have known. This happened at a pretty convenient time, actually because I'm going to the bank Monday for a loan to buy the car, and I'll just add the cost of this to it. Speaking of which, I was expecting something like 500 dollars, so I was happy when it came back with taxes and fees to $340.

Where'd you get your quote from? Safelite quoted me ~$500 to replace. Is that just for the windshield or installation too?

I got glass replacement on my policy never used it until 2011 when I had to replace my windshield on the Corolla twice in the same year. The second time I was actually glad to get it replaced the first installer did not seal it properly and would leak when we got a heavy rain. My only experience with Honda was with my first Honda a Element which was noted for crack windshields.

Could have been worse. When the Pt Cruiser was new a replacement wimdshield was 1800 dollars. My dad had a semi truck tire explode in front of him and put a windshield wide crack in it, cost a shitload to replace.
