Honda Fit #9 in reliability in Europe
Just checked Reliability Index and Honda Jazz (Fit) is at #9. The Toyota Corolla inches ahead. I rented a Corolla before I bought the Fit and it was a boring car unlike the Fit.

I am now at 67000 miles (on NY/NJ city/suburban streets) on my 2011 Honda Fit and there have only been a few minor issues. The TPMS sensor malfunctioned (covered under warranty) and I must admit there are a lot of potholes around here. The brake pads went faster than I liked (solved by using Autozone ceramic pads) and the tires wore faster (solved by using a different brand tire). The fan switch malfunctioned and would only deliver air on high (covered under warranty). At 30,000 miles the transmission started to shift a little funny but that was solved by flushing the fluid. I noted the fluid was starting to get that brownish tint. All of these issues were minor and inexpensive to solve. An easier driver might not have any of these issues at all.

Well, the topic is Honda Jazz reliability and how it ranks in the EU. He just snuck-in his smelly brown ATF but we'll give him a pass.
As far as the article goes, it's next to worthless as the "reliability" isn't just reliability but a value determined not only by frequency of repairs but average repair costs. How it factors age and warranty coverage, I don't know (the article doesn't state). But all these could explain why Kia is at the top with a sprinkling of Euro GM (Vauxhall) and Ford offerings. Granted Euro GM and Ford are very different than here, they're not that much better. No luxury mark made the grade because of their repair costs. Mercedes Benz ranks at the bottom.
Not really meaningful...
