License Plate LED Issue - 2010 Honda FIT

I bought some LED's for my back license plate. Bulb #194 LED Bulb - 15 SMD LED Wedge Base Tower.

Now, when I plug them in all the way they don't work. When I pull them out a bit they light up. I can't leave them pulled out half way. Is there something I can do to either the bulb or the electrical fitting so I can install them correctly? Maybe someone knows a trick?

They fit and they work but I can't use them unless I can push them in all the way.

Thanks Folks

What about if you bend the pins in the 194 socket so they more tightly fit?

I generally have to do that when I install new bulbs in a socket regardless.

Thanks, I haven't tried anything yet. There are no pins on the bulbs and I haven't tried anything to the sockets themselves.... yet... thought I'd ask first.

I'd try the socket first. That's where the bulb's two wires (one pos, one earth) need to contact reliably for a good connection. My front 194 bulb sockets on all four Fits needed adjustment for the LED bulb to work reliably.

Took mine off. Why bother to have any bulbs for your plates? Makes it easier for people to write your license down.

Thing is.... if 'they' see me with NO bulb, I'll get pulled over..... Rather them see it.... <grin>

I fixed the issue by peeling back the rubber that was on the bulb itself a tad. They are in and working.
