I want to install remote start on my car, do you have any suggestions on a brand?

 

If all you want is a remote start... why not get the Honda accessory?

As for brands... I just got a Viper SmartStart installed (starter and alarm). I've heard of Compustar, Python, Clifford, etc. (actually, Python, Clifford and Viper are basically re-brands or subsidiaries of DEI).

 

DEI is def the way to go! SmartStart if you can afford it.

 

the range on these newer viper alarms are amazing. you can further add to that distance with the smartstart module which allows you to use your iphone or android to start/arm your car anywhere there is a wifi/data connection. if you leave your key inside or get locked out, as long as u have your phone with the smartstart program you can still open it. it will even send you a text message if your alarm goes off.

down side is that the connection is flaky. most times it will work, sometimes it takes forever to transmit the signal. if the yearly subscription was much cheaper it would be definitely worth it.
