Honda Fit Price
Hello guys! I'm not sure if this is the correct place to post this as I am new to this forum. I apologize if its not. I have a question for you guy. My car just broke down so I'm looking to get a new one very soon. I'm a college student so I don't have too much money. I'm looking to buy a honda fit from a private seller and there's currently two in my area. Here are the specs on both. Please let me know which one you guys recommend and what price I should be paying for each. They are both automatic. Thanks!
2011 Honda Fit Sport - Black - 7,000 miles. Clean title. Impeccable condition. $15,700 is the lowest price he will sell it for
The other is:
2009 Honda Fit Sport - BLUE - 71,000 miles. Most highway miles. Clean title. I haven't seen it in person, but from the pictures it looks like it's in good condition. The lowest he will sell it for is $11,000. If I offer $9500 do you guys think that is too low? I don't want to offend the seller either. Any opinions or suggestions will be highly appreciated. Thanks!

Offer too low?
KBB says that a car in "good" condition like the 2009, is worth $9927 in my zip code. Should you find some minor defects, tires and/or brakes that need replacement soon, the $9500 might be fair. Even if you see the car and everything is pristine, offer the $9500 anyway, if that is all you can afford or are willing to pay. You might get a really good deal. If the seller gets offended, so what. You are there to buy a car, not be his new best friend. If you are polite and businesslike and the other party gets angry or offended, that is their problem, not yours.

at 71K its is past half of its service life already imho. offer him $9500 and see what he/she says.
dont be afraid to make an offer.
also check carfax for accident history of the car. you will need the car's vin number.
also check autotrader.com for other offers in your area. GL!
