I'll do this so Cops can't say my tag light is out. One of the best reason to pull you over and give you shit.

i dont like the oem yellow lights. plus our state license plate is "gold" + the yellow from the light makes it looks so much worse.

Its been my experience that cops only gave me shit when I was doing something stupid. Don't drive like an ass, and they won't give you shit.

Besides, they can't sight you for factory grade license plate lights. If they could, it would be illegal to sell that car...

Was about to purchase the dome/map bulbs, trunk bulb and license plate bulbs from that Genuine Honda parts (at discounted price) website ... but how in the world do they justify charging $13.50 for shipping to CA? That's a couple of ounces that shouldn't cost more than $4-5 to ship, literally that's 1/3 of my order total and more expensive than any of the parts I had picked out. I hate complaining, but you can't say you sell stuff at discounted prices when you make up for it with ridiculous shipping costs.

I decided to purchase this instead:

4x White LED Lights Interior Package For Honda FIT JAZZ | eBay

It has the 2 map bulbs, 1 dome bulb and 1 trunk bulb for less than $19 shipped. I'm not to worked up about the license plate light since I never see it honestly haha. I'm more interested in the interior lighting since I have to deal with it every day (or every night actually) :P

$18.76 shipped is a lot more appealing than $44 shipped from the Honda site.

I fully agree driving like an ass will get you pulled over, but I used to get pulled over at night coming home from work a lot mainly between 12 A.M. and 2 A.M. And most of the time they said my tag light was out or they couldn't read my tags. When I get home I'd check my tag and it was always fine, my point is sometimes being at the wrong place and at the wrong time doesn't help.

AGT Xenon White Honda Fit Jazz Interior LED Package Deal 2009-2012 (8 Pieces) | eBay

What do you guys think about this LED interior conversion kit? It says there are 8 pieces but do we really have 8 bulbs inside the car?

Oh wow that's a really good deal ... that's only $1 more than the package I bought on ebay and it gives you the license bulb and 2 spares (although I wonder which spares they give you since the dome/map bulb is different from the trunk bulb, and those two are also different from the license plate bulb). good find though!

I saw a picture of a map light housing in ad. Does it come with it for the 2010 Base models?

Color?

Which color bulb did you buy and install?

These are the best I've tried:

194 LED Bulb - 1 SMD LED Wedge Base | Miniature Wedge Base LEDs | LED Car Bulbs | Super Bright LEDs

Sorry for quality guys, but i bought these from iJDMToy for my license and i love them. I hated that yellow. These are much much brighter.

EDIT: The reason they look blue is because of the reflection off the paint. I bought the Xenon White option, and they are white looking directly from the back.

iJDMTOY 360-Degree Shine 12-SMD T10 Wedge Light LED Bulbs 158 168 194 2825 2827

I ordered a set myself to replace the red's I received in a set.

Got them from LEDautomotive.com - 194/168 UHP

Ultra High Power, 60 Lumen. Ordered them Thursday. Just got shipping info today. Hope for some great results!

Hi, I got the same LED bulbs for my license plate that lowkeymods did, but am having trouble inserting them into the bulb base. I work one handed so it may be I just need to have someone else force it in...but it seems that the center bulge of the LED base is thicker by a smidge than the slot it needs to go into. Has anyone else had trouble with this, or do I just have to risk more force? Any suggestions?

On the plus side, thanks to fitforum, I had no trouble unfastening the lamp assembly from the rear tailgate, nor the plastic lense off the bulb socket. Easy no tools one hand operations once you know how they come apart.

Oh, and the reason I want brighter? Because right below my real plate, I have a fake Japanese license plate that spells out "F IT" (in english), and wouldn't mind THAT being lit up more.
