2010 Fit Base - engine doesn't sound like a sewing machine
My recently purchased Fit base 2010 (former lease vehicle, clean Carfax report, otherwise cherry) has a bit of a click when idling. Sounds like lifters. Every other Honda (four) I've ever owned has sounded like a sewing machine. Are fit 1.5l engines different?
Also, I've noticed an occasional 'click' sound when I engage the AT from P to D or from R to D sometimes, particularly if I'm moving (as in backing out of a parkign space and shifting to D). Not loud, but not Honda-like either.
Worth taking to the dealer for a look-see?

The cars are more noisy. It may have to do with the plastic valve cover and closeness of the head to the cabin, and less sound insulation.
If you take it in, the dealer may suggest a valve adjustment. Doubt it would be covered by warranty. And they all have noisy engines.
Allow a second after switching to D for the transmission to fully configure itself before releasing the brake. This seems to avoid the second transmission (?) click. I don't think it matters though.
