Because they are the person honda engineers had in mind when developed the car and companies that have been doing r&d on the fit for ~10

...I am. I was speaking for his individual needs. I clearly stated in that post that I personally hate soft spring rates but I'm very much in the minority.

Touge Im staying out of this thread. It wasn't an attack its just when stating "normal people hate riding in your car" and "too much compremise and cost for needs" I feel your being misleading. What size tires do you run and how low are you? Op plans on only lowering an inch or so. If your running short sidewalls and dumped suspension with preload set higher than necessary it'll be harsh no matter the spring rate

He has a build thread. Check it out.

Its one of the coolest GE's here IMO. Even though the wheels are lame

Lol yea yea mike . And joey_fits, I was just going off of his first post and went from there...it really doesn't seem like he needs to go all out and buy a set of coilovers. Also, I would never, ever mess with the preload to get lower. I'm on 205 50's, and I have about a finger gap all the way around, alittle more in the rear. I am going to 55 sidewalls soon to make the ride alittle better. I'm fairly low, but far from slammed...definatly nowhere near "stanced". In the end, coming from a person who has had a few different cars with all different suspension set ups, it really seems like springs are the best bet for the OP.
