Anyone use Scotchguard on the seats?
Just got a 2012 Honda Fit Sport, AT, Polished Metal and love it! Decided to decline the "protection" package from the dealer and invest that money in some things to maintain it myself. Wondered if anyone has used Scotchguard on the seats, how that's working for you and any tips on application process.

I used it, bought Scotchguard product designed for automotive use. Sprays on, smells terrible, doesn't seem to leave any residue on the seats. On the windows, however ... I noticed I have a slight deposit from the aerosol drifting through the car. Likely I can wash it off.
I haven't spilled anything on it, but I can tell you that the dealer isn't doing anything different than spraying on Scotchguard, so it won't be any worse than the dealer product :P

if you have tint, dont use ammonia. im sure you already know, but just in case.

I don't have aftermarket tint but that's still useful info. I'm talking about Windex. Although I have been looking for a better cleaning agent. There seem to be some types of window deposits (both in the house and car) that Windex doesn't tackle well.

yah, windex belongs on stove tops. it's one of the worst glass cleaners out there imho.
for adhesives such as scotchguard, you can use either of these. i personally always have a can of RC car motor spray/nitro cleaner in my garage.
