Long term issues with the 2012 Fit? (Honda tech input wanted)

Hey guys. I'm a new owner of a 2012 MT Fit Sport. I'm curious to find out what the long term issues with the Fit are so I can plan for the future. The reason I asked for input from any Honda techs is because I'm curious if they know of any parts that are constantly being replaced, or anything. Input from owners is still welcome, however.

No real long term issues besides coil pack replacement at 50-70K on some fits and carpets wearing out.

The tech at my local Honda told me they are great cars, far less issues than the Civic he said. He talked a family member out of buying a Civic and to buy the Fit.

Yeah I can only see the carpeting being an interior problem. This is my first new new car (anything after 01' I consider brand new) im glad they didn't use a bunch of plastics on the exterior like the element.

The only thing I would of like from the Element would the clam shape hatch.

I liked the space of the element and the gas mileage of a Prius. Fit is like best of both haha

Any difference between the 12 Base versus 12 Sport? Still deciding if the price difference is worth the extra performance.

As far as I'm informed. It includes....
Wheels
Paddle shifter
Navigation
Fog lights
Possilbly the interior upgrades like cargo plastics, floor mats and an extra paint shield thing.

That's all I remember.

In 2012 they are basically the same car minus a sway bar, bodykit, fog lights, usb, steering wheel controls.... basically all the stuff your gonna be missing if you get a base

The fog lights are relatively pricey to replace. beyond that, it's pretty much the same car. It's not like some models where higher trims have different engines or transmissions.

The options the sport offer make a low priced car feel tolerable. Things like a leather wrapped steering wheel with controls, an upgraded front facia with fog lights, a rear wing, alloy wheels etc... If the sport was not offered I would have spent more money on a different vehicle.

lack of K-Swap, that's a long term issue :P

I love my fit. ZERO issues other than wheel rub a bit from being lowered. woohaw

you will love it. get the sport. looks better, a few extra perks, better resale value.
