which mp3 players work with the '12 fit usb connection
which mp3 players work with the '12 fit usb connection? My brother's ipod works and i can controll it with the stering wheel controls, but I was wondering if only ipod's are compatible or are there any others that will work?
i know i can use an aux cable but i'd like to be able to use the steering wheel controls to switch songs.
thanks!

There are guys on here using an external USB hard drive, I myself use a flash drive (USB stick, if you like). My cellphone (android) does NOT work with the usb, but does work with the aux. I'm not 100% sure (somebody will correct me, if I'm wrong, or confirm if I'm right), pretty much any MP3 player that can connect by USB will work. If it doesn't, use AUX. One thing to consider is that the non navi radio is really awkward for navigating through music on anything USB, especially when you're looking for a specific song. Aux will allow you to use your player's user interface to search and select music.

Any Device that would support USB Mass Storage Mode should work essentially as a USB flash/hard drive. My Android and Windows phones work when in Mass storage mode and control is limited to standard File/folder navigation. The only custom navigation you get is on an iPod and playlists there are the only benefit. I use an iPod in the car because of playlists as with over 300 artists on my iPod, navigation is a lesson in futility.
