Question Noise from windows / door panels

I have been experiencing some annoying noises this summer. I don't recall these noises the last couple summers. With the windows all the way up there will be a sound from the door panel that's a bit like wet rubber on rubber or plastic. If I tap the driver window down just a hair the noise is greatly reduced, but it's not the only window that does this. It's loud enough over rough road surfaces that I can sometimes still hear it after turning up the volume on the stereo. Ugh.

I'm just wondering if anyone has had the same issue and, if so, if the source has been confirmed so I could know what to target.

have you removed the door panel recently (tinting, speakers, etc)?
Is it just one door?

Nope, the door panels have never been removed. It actually seems to be both left doors. Mostly the driver door. The noise acoustically sounds like it comes from the top of the door but it in fact comes from somewhere in the plastic panel. The front right door has a nasty loud rattle once in a while.

try treating the rubber seals with silicone. When they dry out they can make strange noises (not squeaking). Use pure silicone, not wd-40. It's available from
3M on Amazon (spray) 3M on Amazon (spray)
or you can get
silicone grease there silicone grease there
.

there is some honda silicone grease. Same thing.

x2 ^^^^^^^^

If the above doesn't fix your problem you can try putting a strip of very thin foam inside the fold of the rubber seal. (Window run channel).

It's kinda hard to describe. This is the best way I know how.

This PDF is to install OEM visors but it shows the install a strip of EPT sealer inside the window rubber seal. Also the video shows the strip as well. Both links below.

Let me know how it works for you

Many regards
