2012 Auto trans dipstick marks amount low/high?
I checked the owners manual and did a search and did not find the answer this.
With hot engine, car shutoff and dipstick checked between 60 and 90 seconds on level ground the dipstick is at the bottom mark.
How much fluid is needed to go from the low mark on the stick to the high mark on the stick?
If someone has the answer I can avoid the trial and check/error method.

Why is your new car already reading low on atf? That seems to me the more important issue. I would run your car completely hot, then check level again. A long a it is but below low, just leave it alone. There is a tendency to put things at max when really they should be good at middle. Coolant for example comes from Honda set to the middle

you're probably good. Once at Operation temp wait for the fan to kick in once (no ac or radio on either). Then check level within 60 secs. Will read low when done too soon and higher if you let the fan kick in.
Good luck, I've overfilled mine twice aready... the amount to get it just right from the bottom would be half a container.

Less than half a quart to go from low to high mark. But it's not an exact measurement since it depends on fluid temp and the time since stopping the engine.
Use Honda's DW-1 fluid (they specifically state not to use another manufacturer's).

Thanks for the replies.
The atf has been at the low mark on the dipstick since I first checked it at 100 miles. No doubt came from the factory at that level, and the tech who did the dealer pdi checked it cold or felt it was close enough.
I checked it several times on level ground, with engine/trans at full operating temp, using the turn engine off wait at least 60 seconds, no more than 90 seconds owners manual procedure.
I bought one quart engine oil and one quart trans fluid from Honda when I bought the car, to have with me. I am a full time RVer, traveling the nation, and wanted some oil/atf with me from when we are far from any dealers.
I will be towing the Fit behind the motorhome, and want the atf to at least mid level mark on the dipstick due to the towing. I'll start with around 1/4 quart and see what that does.
Honda towing procedures:
Perform the following procedure
every day immediately before you
begin towing. Otherwise severe
automatic transmission damage will
occur.
1. Check the transmission fluid level
(see page 261). Do not overfill.
2. Start the engine.
3. Press on the brake pedal. Move
the shift lever through all its
positions.
4. Shift to the D position and hold for
five seconds, then to N. Let the
engine run for 3 minutes, then turn
it off.
5. Put key in accessory position, release park brake.
Severe transmission damage will occur
if the vehicle is shifted from reverse to
neutral and then towed with the drive
wheels on the ground.
Repeat procedures every 8 hours if towing long distance.
