You get the same temperature air that you got with your stock intake. The PRM system picks up air in the exact same place as stock. What you get is MORE air and a little more noise, because the PRM system eliminates the bends and baffles of the stock intake that are there to reduce noise. By increasing the flow of air into the engine (and reducing restrictions of the stock system), the PRM gives you more HP and torque than the stock system.

Maybe there are, but they would not be "legal" in CA. When your Fit reaches 5 years old, any smog check tech. who can spot your after-market "cat" converter would fail your smog check. Same story with the PRM intake. The intake would be MUCH more simple to swap back to stock for a smog check than the "cat". You would not gain enough performance to justify all of the b.s. involved with the "cat". The PRM intake is a good buy and will justify your expense. I can't say from experience if the "cat" converter would do the same. I sincerely doubt it.

I'm in nj now. Probably not legal ... High flow cat seems interesting. Used to have a straight pipe on a type r. Sounds great and loud ... Figuring the high flow cat will be less loud ad yet power yielding

Ooh! Sorry that you had to trade Chino, CA, for anywhere in NJ! Except, maybe, The Pine Barrens. From my trips there, NJ sucks. Any mod that you do that circumvents the smog controls will probably pass in NJ. But good luck breathing while you are there.

The PRM intake will be worth a LOT more to your Fit's performance than ANY strut bar. The front struts do not move. Strut bars are just for looks, and the look is silly. but do whatever you want.
