Handsfree AUX Input/Cell Phone: Echo???
Before I bought this 2012 Fit I had a 2005 Honda Element. Both cars have this AUX input to the stereo that allowed me to hookup my cell phone with a male/male 3.5mm cable and use the car's speakers as a handsfree system.
This worked really awesome in the Element but here in the FIT....not so much. Everyone I talk to says they hear an intolerable echo coming from my end. I've tried to play with the volume levels at the stereo and at the phone and nothing seems to help.
Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this?

Soundfly BT Ultimate Bluetooth Car Fm Transmitter WMA/MP3 Player
I added this to my Fit and it's been great. I just leave it plugged into cigarette lighter ... ran the mic cable under the dash and up the rubber on the driver door, and clipped the mic there. I leave FM2 set the the frequency I transmit on (99.9 FM, but you can set it to anything).
When I get a call, I just choose FM2 on the radio, press the green button, and chat away. Works fantastic! Noise cancelling, so there's no noticeable echo. Mic is up high near my face.
Runs around $60 or so on eBay or Amazon.

I have the same setup as the OP (phone through 3.5mm AUX to hear callers) with a Droid Bionic. But I have never had anyone complain about echo. Then again, I use it rarely (I don't like talking on the phone, especially so in the car). I would say your phone may be causing you problems - what kind of phone are you using? If it doesn't have noise cancellation, I would say that would be the start of your problem.
