Rear headrests and a 6 foot 1 inch kid.

I've got a 6'1" son that likes to sit in the back seat (to watch movies on his laptop) on long drives, but the head rest does not seem to go up and lock high enough on my 2012 base fit. There are two lock stops on the head rest, and even in the top slot, the bottom the the head rest hits him in the between his shoulder blades. You can lift the head rest a little higher, but it won't lock--it will just fall back to the lock stop, or fall out of the mounting holes. Are there aftermarket headrests that will fit the back seat of the Fit?

is the rear seat in the further back recline position? I find it much more comfortable when the rear seat backs are in the recline position.

reclined or not doesn't seem to matter for head rest height for him--it still hits him between the top of the shoulder blades.

Does he not have a neck? I'm the same height and have no issue with it at the high height.

He's got a looooong torso, and a neck, but the torso is what's getting him.

Back to orig. question--anybody using an aftermarket head rest in the back seat of the GE Fit? Will a GD headrest fit?

Not sure. I'll try that for you this afternoon though. I'll put my GD's headrest in the 2012 quick.
