2013 Fit release date? (not the EV)
#41
A friend of mine said he initally wanted the 2012 Fit so he waited but when he saw the clearance pricing on the 2011 he couldn't pass up the deal, this was in January 2012. He said the dealers didn't start getting the 2012 Fits on their lots until December 2011/January 2012 so maybe it will be this way again this year. Sounds like if you're willing to wait you can get a fantastic deal on the 2012 model but if you want the newest it'll still be a few more months.

A local deal to me already received a 2013 Fit as well. However, I imagine most dealers will still be trying to sell their 2012 inventory first.

Fresh Fit!
I've philosophical reasons for having white paint. Saturday, August 8th we went to buy the 2012 Base AT. The dealer didn't have one but could swap with another dealer the same afternoon. We agreed, we signed and settled in to finalize and wait. Our salesman, before he went to get it, told us it would be a 2013. Awesome! Fantastic! I'm so glad I held firm about the paint. I've owned three used-cars and have driven other peoples vans & cars for decades, making this the first new car I've owned. I was picky and am happy about it.
Anyways, there doesn't seem to be any differences between the 2012 & '13. Maybe the fenders have changed, not sure. I live at 2700' elevation in SoCal and I do my business in San Diego (less than an hour drive), so I like how spry and civilized my Fit is. It gets the job done, it doesn't insult my passengers and gets down to the task of driving to places, then back up the mountain.
