Did you have to order your 2012 Fit Sport?
#2
When I bought my fit sport in December there were plenty in stock in the SF BY area up to 18 at one dealer though only 1 or 2 MT at the dealerships. I've kept eye on stock since then and noticed a steady decline in inventory to the point of having only 1-2 or less than 6.
Not sure if this is due to them selling as soon as they hit the lot or decreased availability. There's quite a few here on the forum that placed orders so if that's what you have to not the worst thing to have to wait and you can get the color you want as well instead of settling for a color you're not happy with.

I think the 2013 hits around August? Don't think there will any big changes though. Not sure what the cause is for the low availability.

No doubt that is proabably a big part of it. Also wondering if the transition to making the US Fit in Mexican production plants has any bearing on it?

i wanted a '12 white fit sport with nav, (this was last november) and they were no where to be found, just dealers saying we have an '11 or a non nav model, got a call from a dealer around that a a polished silver 12 with nav was 3 weeks away on a boat. 2nd choice in color, so i didn't order it but i did have to wait.

Plenty of AT sports available where I live (see my zip in my username). It's the manual transmission that's exceedingly hard to find, esp in a Sport. In a 500 mile radius only about 5% of Fits were MT Sports (another 5% are MT base).
I tried to order an MT sport fit in silver in February. By March I was told they'd make it in April, but they wouldn't know anything more about when it would arrive nearby until it arrived on the west coast by boat.
I could have had a red MT sport from 150 mi away but wasn't keen on red - or the dealer. I ended up settling for a base model MT from about 100 mi away. Very happy with it, though the ride is surprisingly plush compared to the Sport (my '08 with 93k went to my teen driver). Now buying accessories with my $2k savings, some of which I'd probably have to buy with the sport model anyway (cargo cover, tray, locking gas cap).

Yes, my girlfriend had to wait about 6 weeks for it to arrive. There were no 2012 white fit sport manuals in NC, VA or SC at the time. Only at one dealer was there one, but with more than 400 miles on the odo as well as a rude salesman, we decided to give our business to another dealer.
