Do me a favor!
I bought a new '12 Fit and noticed what seems to be a missing splash guard/engine shroud. Can someone open their hood and look straight down and tell me if they see a cover or if they see the ground. Mine looks like this:

EDIT FEB 1 2012.
It seems the above images involving the installation of the under engine splash shield have generated a large amount of interest. If you think its a good idea and especially if you think you're going to do it yourself on your GE, don't forget to +rep! In an effort to reduce repetitive pm's and posts directed towards me I will reveal the mystery.
The under engine splash shield is a Honda factory part from the CR-Z. It cost me about 50$. It took about an hour to install (with the car raised on a hoist), taking my time and being picky. My primary fastener is zip ties that I just snip off and replace whenever I need to see the underside of the engine, ex. oil changes etc. Very easy to retrofit.
...+REP!! Thanks for reading.

Very interesting - I was unaware that the CR-Z had this deflector. It may very well increase mpgs slightly and reduce some road noise. I think I'm going to pursue ordering one.

Meguiars D103 All Purpose Cleaner Plus
Should work perfectly, and it has many uses not just engines. And I think I am gonna look into getting this part if it helps with lower road noise.

Is this item plug and play with the GE8s?
We don't need to cut the existing covers?
Do we need to also order new push plugs?
I remember seeing this back in the day and forgot about it until now.
Thanks awsome reminder.

Yes, according to the posts.
No, you do not.
Yes. It looks like two 17's, two 16's, and three to six 12 and 13's. I'm still looking into this, though.
