Thumbs up Dip Your Car!?!?!?

Havent been around in awhile but i thought you guys would get a kick out of this. Plasti Dip has been a well documented product in the car scene for some time now. typically used for giving a matte black appearance to emblems, wheels, mirrors, etc.....the main reason i feel its so cool is that if you mess up you can immediately peel it off with no evidence of it ever being applied. These guys have taken it to a new level!

this stuff sucks! lasts about 2 weeks before it starts to peel. Wouldnt even waste my time or money with it.

Just purchased it. I'll try it out for 20 bucks. I believe I've seen it before too.

I'll post about it when I get it, and some pix.

Now there's a way to add a few pounds. Plus if it develops a pin-prick, you get to retain all that water. Love it!

Agreed. Probably wouldn't do the entire vehicle but it's a nice alternative to painting the emblems with traditional paint.

This might be useful as a disposable bra when driving through insect-dense, or graveled areas.

Does it just peel off when you want to remove it?

I've had plasti-dip on my front and rear bumpers for the past 6 months without a single issue. The only issue I have with it is when masking. It doesn't work the same as regular paint so removing masking can be a bit of a pain if you're not experienced with it.

I used to do my wheels in plasti-dip before winter. Always worked well and I also did the Forester's old grille in it before the sports conversion. Oh, and my current auto-x helmet is coated with plasti-dip. Cool and very versatile product.

Did you spray with the wheels on the car?

The brakes look like they got the coating too.

Get used to it. It happened to my friends wheels all the time. He got to the point where he just took it off all together.
