summer tire with sensor question
Hi guys,
looking for some advise, its not Fit related mind u...
Along with my 09 fit picked up a 2012 nissan rogue
the summer 17" tires have the sensors, the winter 16" steelies don't and the dash light stays on
the question, when its time to put the summers on, does the vehicle just detect the sensors and become active?
anything one must do to activate the sensors? and the receiver in the vehicle? do the sensors run on their own batteries and require changing from time to time, or do they get power from the rotation of the wheel.
thx crew

It's almost certainly make, model, and year dependent. In the fit, it'll redetect them. The wheel sensors are battery powered, and non replaceable with an expected lifespan of 7 years or so.
I would stick them on and see what happens.
