How do you deal with 3,500 +/- rpm @ 70 mph?

In a Fit, it'll be hard to run over anything and not notice... more likely get stuck... Ran over a pothole a while back and almost got swallowed. Ended up with a blistered sidewall.

Yeah, hehehe. Took the check book with me. I will be slowly getting my ears to tunes out the engine noise
Definitely feels different from roughly 515 pound-feet of torque around 3K to about 110. I am sure I will miss the growl and grunt from 5.4L engine. Especially snow might be here any time now, Fit will do me just fine. 460 HP RWD will just have to wait until Spring or Summer.
I will be going to Korea, Japan, Hong Kong and Thailand in August for 7 weeks, will be looking around for some Jazz stuffs from those countries.
17 mpg premium to 30+ mpg regular = $ Cha-Ching $

Be prepared to be disappointed at what the foreigners get in terms of options over us (despite them paying a pretty penny for said options)!

Previous car was a 1992 BMW 325i MT. Fifth gear was direct, not OD. That car revved and sounded as loud as the Fit at highway speeds, especially since it had high-flow cats that made the exhaust louder than stock. Yes the in-line six is smoother, but the amount of noise was still similar. However, both cars have factory sound systems that raise and lower volume with speed.

I just returned from a 2k mile road trip in my manuel fit. 1 leg I drove it for 12 hours stopping only for fuel and a sandwich. I did between 75-80 mph and I got 40 mpg the car felt great and didn't seem to bother it at 3500-3800 rpms for hours on end. Didn't use a drop of oil either nor did I feel fatigue from long hours behind the wheel. Love the car.

The noise wasn't that bad so far, perhaps I'm starting to get use to it. I still need to get use to shifting a bit, no stalls but bucking bronco here and there.
This is my first RPM based engine ever. Well, in 1974 I have a 1970 Toyota Corolla handed down to me from my father. I have no idea RPM or Torque based. I was just learning how to drive, I guess I will drive anything

Get rid of those stock tires. You'll be amazed by how much better the noise levels are as well as how much better they perform in wet conditions.

I have my eyes on Volks TE37 or RE30. From what I have been reading here I think I'll go with 205/50/16, have more to choose from then the stock size.

Idk about a fit on TE37's.. Just doesn't look right to me. But to each their own. Those are not cheap rims at all lol. They'll probably do wonders for the acceleration though!
