Looking forward to the reappearance! Good mpg's too, I'm hoping I can get into the 40s when it warms up in the spring

I'll post some pics!

You won't have any trouble getting in the 40's. I drove back from work this afternoon and was at 41.5 MPG when I pulled into garage, with little bit more city traffic this time. I did 80 miles r/t today after the fill up.

GET EXCITED! Heh heh. When I got mine back from being repaired from a fender bender I was beaming with pride after seeing her shiny and new again.
EDIT: ok not really a fender bender. it was a nose job.

DOH! Looks like Wednesday afternoon now.

The shop just called again and after it's finished with paint, she wants to thoroughly inspect it before delivering to me. She said if anything comes up, they want to address it before it's delivered. I really appreciate that from the shop. I'm now certain I made the right choice choosing this shop.

No worries. I'll just wait. I want it to be right. Sorry for the false alarm folks!

Well one positive side effect is you're keeping the mileage low

Happy days are here again!

Work was real good. Need to take back on Friday for a couple of tweaks.

Trim piece that runs on outside door sill needs adjusted. Some kind of over spray on part of roof. It's not paint. Rough to touch. A little buffing needed on rear panel. Don't think it's major stuff. Just want it as close to perfect (no such thing lol) as possible.

Never going to be perfect, but at least no dents. The car came back very clean. Appears they were very careful with it. I'm very happy to be driving it again.

One thing is for sure, the 2011 rental had much more interior noise than my 2012. I could tell this right away driving from shop to home.

Well it looks flawless! Sure must be a nice feeling to have it back despite you need to take it back for a few minor tweaks!

Thanks! I'm very happy to have it back. I now have 600 extra miles saved to blow on a long trip.

Great! Looks like the body shop did a nice job. Now work on that dent in your head thinkin' something doesn't quite look right... The car was never perfect to begin with... No such thing...

Funny, never thought of accumulated miles when not driving a car... as extra miles saved... Good luck!

You are so spot on. The dent in my head is talking to me. You sure have a way to keep a person grounded. I mean that in only the most complimentary way.

Been there... Done that... Battle wounds become battle scars... then turn into fishing or war stories...

Yeppers. I want to thank you!

The insurance company is sending me an additional $650 check for dimished value. Thank you for mentioning this because, I wasn't aware it existed. Not surprisingly, the insurance company does not volunteer this information during the claims process.

The body shop finished up the minor tweaks, including the misaligned trim piece. The shop was great! Everything is now in order.

Now it's time for a couple of mods. Window tint and Clazzio's here I come!

or bottle how about of Johnnie Walker Blue Label and a little left over for mods? Cool you found out about the diminished value!

That sounds fair. I would have guessed less than $650.

In all states insurance should pay for diminished value without having to sue. GA is one of the few that require your own insurance company to pay you diminished value when it's your fault. I thought it would have been automatic from the other party too. Good to know...

Clazzios sound nice.

Looks great, they did an awesome job on that quarter panel. I'm sure they'll just buff that overspray out that you're talking about.
