The END of FitDeez!!!?

And of course this wouldn't happen if it had stock suspension because coilovers are stiffer. My car never bottomed out the suspension or anything like that it's from the impact of hitting potholes and bumps in these horrible roads and its a shame

Dang, that is some gnarly damage.
Are you planning to do anything else during this process, besides repairing and reinforcing those areas? I don't know, like weld the strut towers to accept pillowball upper mounts or camber plates for example? Since I know you like to get low.
Looking forward to your repaired fit, good luck!

Because my interpretation of that bolded part, means you ARE blaming the coilovers. Which you were defending in the first quote.
Maybe you did bottom out... and simply thought it wasn't severe (kinda like the opposite, where people think things are worse than they are).
In any case, it could simply boil down to, not that the coil overs being too stiff for handling, but they are too stiff for (your) road conditions.
Incidentally, I have bottomed out my car on stock suspension (probably more than one occasion too). I have been a touch more careful with the Swifts.

Thanks for the update and good luck with the repair. I've driven around NY/NJ and it's like driving in a war zone. As I mentioned earlier, my friend was chewing through factory DSM wheels on his Eclipse Turbo because with heavy traffic sometimes the potholes are unavoidable.

Yea.... Because everyone is at risk.
Only one to ever happen, on stiff suspension, low offset wheels, and horrible roads. Man, every fit is at risk!?!?!! Zomfg
Anyway. Mr fitdeez, after welding, I would for sure add a strut tower/firewall brace to that. Then dump again and be the hottest fit on this forum

Yeah, wow can't believe I forgot to update.. I took the suspension out pulled the shock tower back down to where it belonged , lined it up and welded it all around instead of little tack welds and now the car is back together actually better then before since its stronger then the original welds
Here's a pic of it lined back up

No way that's not right 2 spotwelds there should be 6 or more there. I'm going out and check to see how many MzFiT has there. Sorry brother that's another 1 of the nicest GE's here!
GLOR
Ya Deez I checked my GD and I counted 6+ spot welds in the same location.
Honda has sum esplain'n to do, keep us posted.

I'm pretty sure all GEs have the same number of spot welds, since I'm fairly certain this part was done by a programmed robotic arm.

If there is no more then 2 spot welds on that part of the strut towers, Honda is not on top of their quality control.... I like looking at dropped (slammed) cars with crazy offset for the hella flush thing but really guys there will be a time when the lack of suspension travel, stiff springs and damping is going to create problems.... I know this to be a fact because I have experienced it myself when I was half the age I am now..
