rim and Tire selection

I think you made a better choice on a sound, light weight set up. DWS addict on this end. I get the DTs if I don't think I am going to get my stuff. The wheels I got are just a crack pipe to consume DWS tires at the lowest possible cost.

This is the car with the 15x7 +41 rpf1s and 195/60 r 15 they weighed 28.5 lbs and the old rims with old tires weighed about 34 lbs. Not as much weight savings as I thought but the old tires were worn and there are wider tires and rims. I wont receive the locking lug nuts till next week. Only other real complaint is not having center caps. I think I will prolly mask everything off really well and paint the axle nuts and hub covers in a high temp matte black engine enamel.

Wow, looks AMAZING. Do the tires show when looking from the front or back? I assume the 41 offset is closest to factory and that's why you went with it?
Have you noticed any difference in the ride comfort? or cornering?
Really looks great, congrats.

RPF1s only come in 15x7 with 35 or 41 mm offset. 41 is closest to stock 16x6 +53. The fronts dont stick out at all. The back tires are covered at the top but stick out a little at the bottom where the bumper turns in.
only have 20 miles on it since the change so not sure I can really tell much handling cornering or ride comfort yet. no rubbing on the first speed bumps.
Yeah idk I kinda like the look of the black on black. I think I am going to black out my emblems and tail lights. But until than i think your right it almost looks like stock. I feel like the fit is an economy car id rather it look like an econo box. than it be a fit trying to look something flashy.
Since no one said dont do it yet. I think im gunna paint the axle nuts. Not too different from painting calipers or hubs so I am gunna do it.

I don't feel that it's an economy car... I KNOW it is.
But just "black on black" doesn't make me think econo either. Mostly because the main difference is, when you see the car rolling along at even neighborhood speeds, you can tell the difference between most black wheels verses steelies. And that difference is how much of the brakes you see. Steelies have a LOT of coverage, so the brakes aren't as visible, but aftermarkets usually look more like there's nothing there, and you clearly see the brakes when up to speed.
as for the center caps, you can follow DSM's suggestion (which I did)... https://www.fitfreak.net/forums/2nd-...tml#post973752
I need to figure out how to put a weather seal on it, getting rusting on the hub face.

Goobers,
Awesome thanks for that tip. I will go get 2 knock out plugs tomorrow Along with some high temp black paint and some rtv high temp silicone sealant. I think that ought to do pretty well in terms of making a weather proof seal.

They knock 3 dB off the noise level at 70 mph.
I have a sport axle with the anti sway bar that I will install soon.
Weight on each tire/wheel assembly is 35lbs. So to get to 205/55R16 at the same weight as stock I had to choose a light tire on a light rim (DWS on TRMotorsports C1 42 offset).

Don't know much about tires except my OEM Dunlup tires need replacing. My 2009 FIT base model is 175/65R15, which is harder to fine.
I just ordered four Michelin Primacy MXV4 (195/60R15) for this Saturday. I sure hope not going to run into any problems like rubs, and with ABS or TPMS. Not even sure what is the correct air pressure for the new tires now, any suggestions?
Thanks!
