2012 Fit Buyers Check in!!! Welcome and Congrats!

Welcome all you 2012 Honda Fit buyers, I will start this thread to welcome you, and for posting pics of your new ride, and OTD, out the door final price to inform potential buyers as well.
I really would luv to have the 2012 Honda fit sport with Navi and bluetooth.

Currently I have a 2009 Honda Fit Sport with Navi and love it, but the bluetooth would be awesome.

Looking forward to posts in this thread!

Superdat1- You sure got the killer deal!

Bought my 2012 OBM MT last Monday 12/5 19.2K OTD. 8.50% tax in SF, CA. 5 days of driving it now and I love more each time I take it out.

Only snafu was with jamming the back seat when folding it down with a backpack behind the passenger seat. Seat wouldn't go all the way down with the backpack being there and I really had a hell of a fight to get the seat back up. Eventually the bench seat pulled up and then I was able to get the seat back to release again.

Also just noticed NO ash tray- did the Fit ever have them? Non-smoker so I could care less but thought it was interesting how times change.

Nice Afreespirit! I don't feel so bad about my OTD price now however you got my first color choice.

Curious as to how many Sports with MT there were to choose from and color choices there were.

Thanks GTRPLYR! There were NO MT's in the whole state, in any color. I ordered mine from factory near the end of October, it just got here. Silver was my first choice. But the Orange and some other colors are certainly beautiful too...guess we can't get one in each color.

Our price is not bad...not the best but not the worst either. I like the 2012 changes.

Yea, glad I was able to jump in the game with the 2012 model. Having one in each color would be nice, if only it was as easy to changes colors as clicking the color swatches on Honda's website.

I didn't have the patience to wait a month for the silver to arrive especially after I test drove the new Fit. Interesting there weren't any MT's over there. I thought it odd they were also in such short supply here in CA as well but fortunately a few dealers had at least one in stock.

I saw another thread here regarding OTD prices and seems that our prices were fairly average and I believe fair. Hat's off to those that can really wheel and deal down to the bone. I didn't feel there was much negotiating room when one is looking at the only MT on the lot and 20 AT models.

Very true about you probably not having much negotiating room with only one MT in stock. Here, not only were there no MT's, but very few Fits in stock at all at the time I made my deal. I too didn't see a lot of room for negotiation and didn't want to drag out the "bargaining" process endlessly.

Enjoy your car, and welcome to the forum!

Thanks! i think i got a good deal too Ive put about 150 miles on it already (the drive from the dealership alone was 80) and im very pleased with this car. Power surprised me alot! i was expecting it to be more sluggish. And i love how easy it is to toss the car around a little. I had to wait about a month. Finding a MT was hard enough, but finding a TW with MT was ever more difficult. I feel like i made the right choice for my first brand new car! Looking forward to the new couple of years with it!

Hi Folks! I also bought a 2012 Fit Sport with 10 (now 500+)miles on it. Its Polished Metal Metallic and I paid 19,400 OTD MT. Already threw on some 6k Bi-xenon HID, tinting the windows later today, and installing my nav unit once I get the dash kit/harness later this week.

I just picked up my 2012 TW Sport A/T on Wed and i couldn't be happier. I paid 18,999 OTD with 3.5 percent sales tax. Couldn't really haggle much more than that because out of 2 dealers within 90 miles there were only 4 fit sports. Here in AL they aren't very popular. Im very happy with the car overall. This is my 7th honda, but first NEW car and i love it.

2012 Sport AT

Picked mine up two weeks ago! So far I've added: rear shelf, pedals, HID lamps, door sills, and window tint (been a busy few weeks!). Swapping out fog light bulbs and adding K&N filter soon.

Well congrats on your first new car, you picked a good one and somehow managed the killer deal! If there hadn't been a MT in stock around here I definitely would have waited and stuck it out as you did. Nice you got your color choice as well!

Likewise I was surprised that the Fit isn't as sluggish as some complain about. Still getting my legs with the car and getting more familiar with its handling capabilities but I am really liking everything so far. I have no complaints either with road noise or the high revs at freeway speeds.

Dennis you have to upload your pix to an online hosting site (free) like Photobucket or Flickr. These are easy to do. When you have done that you insert the pic URL into the Image button for your post.

Really liking the 12's for sure, too bad Honda didn't change the rear a little bit too to go along with the changed front end

Loving that bright orange metallic!

by the way OTD price includes tax, doc, fees, everything included to put the car on your driveway.
looks like that price is around 19000-19500 for the 2012 fit sports

thanks! when i found the car online the internet price was $17,551. After a few emails i got him to give me a price of $17,093. Wheel locks were free of charge as well.

Im trying to get a feel for the handling as well, but its definitely taking everything im throwing it. I too have no complaints about the noisy cabin or motor. But then again my previous cars were a 98 prelude and a 98 integra so im used to it
