I believe you will. I think the tendency, when you initially drive the Fit, is to have fun and drive it spiritedly. Once you get use to driving it to maximize MPG and it fully breaks in, you'll get even better mpg.

When you fill up, I would hand calculate the mpg as well. I've found the dash can be a couple of miles off either way. In the rental though, with 23k on the clock, it was very close on the last fill up. 35.2 on dash. 35.5 hand calculated.

Congrats! Nice color as well.

You mentioned wheel well guards. Are those in the rear?

Yes it is front and rear...primarily for keeping the edges from getting chipped since there are no wheel well liners. You can see them on the edge of the wheel well in front. Not so well in the rear.

I see a black piece of plastic on the front fenders. That's likely them.

Congrats on your new OBM Fit purchase! My Fit also came with the door and fender edging protectors but I really didn't like the way the black edging took away form the over sleek look. It's also pretty rare that the door edge gets dinged.

I easily removed the door edging and left the wheel well edging on since they aren't really noticeable there and actually might provide protection from anything the tires may spit out.

Got my 2012 Sport A/T last week for 17,860 plus TTL. Traded it for my 2009 Mazda RX8 R3. I love the spacious and bright interiors. I have yet to refuel it but the mileage computer shows about 25 mpg for driving around the burbs. Thats the same as a I4 Camry I used to have. Hopefully it improves in time.

I called the two Honda dealers in my area and asked about the Honda Fit Cargo Cover. Neither had one in stock and the price quote was $214.00 w/tax at one dealer and $165.00 at the other w/o tax. This price seems rather steep for a piece of plastic with a couple of clips and strings. I checked Amazon and they have one a bit cheaper and it looks like it qualifies for free shipping. Forum members who have purchased the cover, where and how much damage to the wallet did it inflict?

You can get it cheaper. Greg May Honda on eBay has it for $127.20 shipped: 2009 - 2012 HONDA FIT CARGO COVER OEM 09 10 11 12 | eBay

I would specify year. I think 2012 is different part number. Good luck!

Bernadi has it for $116, think that's about as cheap as it gets. I haven't pulled the trigger on it yet.

Is the cargo cover the same for the 2012 as the 2009 to 2011? Amazon says yes but I am not sure.

No, it isnt - at least based on the number of Honda dealer websites that sell the 2012 cover separate from 2009-2011. I would rather consider Amazon wrong than go through the hassle of buying the cover and returning it.

The same but the 2009-2011 has a silly piece of felt that is "supposed to be" attached between the cover and back seats. I never attached mine.

Somebody asked me what the circular area on the front bumper driver side is. I have no idea. Does anybody know?

Also, my wife has a BMW 3 series and now calls my Fit hers. She loves driving it. Solutions? Divorce and/or womanslaughter first came to mind but these are not practical or realistic.

I feel for you. A couple ideas that come to mind are putting a crude bumper sticker on it or set of those mud flaps with the buxom girl on them?

Mud flaps? Not a bad idea. Anything about the circular impression on the front bumper drivers side?

It's the spot for the front recovery tow hook.
