Picked up the same color car on the same day here in NJ. I've since had it tinted, rear bumper applique and just finished installing a roof rack to carry my bikes. The to do list seems to grow and grow, i'd like to have remote start and some weather tech front mats soon. I should be happy for a while after that.

Anyone know the best/cheapest place to get the front weathertech mats?

neozengar 06-08-2012 12:17 AM

Hi guys! I also purchased a new 2012 Vortex Blue Base A/T. Very excited to join the forum!

I've looked all over. The price for the mats themselves is standard. Where you can save a few bucks is shipping. Compare shipping costs and you might save yourself $20-$40. That's about it.

Got my 2012 Milano Red Sport M/T a week ago put 500 miles on in the first week without driving it two days this week. Hard to find M/T had to list my 4 choices of color. Red was number 4.

Salesman delivered my 2012 to work tuesday. I like it so far but would like for it to corner a bit flatter, the order for Bilsteins will be placed a week from today with a set of enkeis close behind.

very nice the Vortex blue, I saw a really nice PMM fit sport today, looks really awesome!
Looks like 2012 fit inventory is drying up on the lots

Thanks Canuck, had to have this one transferred in from Ga. You guys weren't kidding about these things being underrated MPG, I've been getting 39 mixed and it's not even broke in yet. Quite impressive.

I really need to get more (and better pics) but I have this so far; just got it tinted. Fit's are popular in my neighborhood. My neighbor a few doors down has 2 (vortex blue and black) and just up the block is another (orange). Mine is of course the coolest because it is red. :D

Only major plans I have are Swifts, some rims eventually once these tires wear out and I MUST upgrade the stereo.

Bought a 2012 Fit Sport M/T in Polished Metal Metallic a week and a half ago. I just got it tinted at 16% all around plus a 10% brow. Love it!

Ordered mods: All weather mats, Mugen shift knob, custom black leather w/blue stitching shift boot, Honda seven spoke 16in alloy wheels with 205/50R16 Continental DWS tires.

Possible mods: Short shifter, Clazzio seat covers

^Thoughts on those?

12 days old now

Good morning and happy 4th of July to everyone!
This being my first post to this forum, as I am a newbie, not only to this forum but also as a 2012 Honda Fit Sport owner! I too, chose the Blue Raspberry Metalic color as this seemed to compliment my personality. Thusfar...completely stock.
My out-of-door price was $19094.52, broken down as $18726.00 base price, $36.89 dealers inventory tax (bogus), $1076.63 sales tax (love our government), $73.25 title and registration fee, inspection, $52.75 license fee, $5.00 deputy fee (WHAT!?!), $125.00 documentary fee (again...bogus), then, the last ditch effort to make some additional profit by the finance manager, $499.00 GAP insurance. Being that I live in the Texas hill country, I believe this could be beneficial. In the event of a total loss, (a lot of deer playing chicken with vehicles driving down the country roads...a collision...deer wins...Fit loses) the difference between what one's insurance says is ACV and what is owed on the loan will be covered by the GAP insurance, versus out-of-pocket. I was also given a $1500.00 trade allowance. Not necessarily the best deal I've made, but acceptable.
My advice to anyone planning a purchase of a Fit, Honda, or ANY vehicle...know the numbers, particularly the invoice price. Base your negotiation on that figure.
I'm looking foward to posting more and visiting with many of the members here. I'll certainly have many questions, need ample advice, particularly with upgrades for additional fuel economy and performance. Currently I have 814 miles on the odometer with an average mpg of 32.0. Again, I live in the Texas hill country.
Many thanks to all for reading this. Peace.
