It's more noticeable and less comical. It's just the low note, but I think it's better than the meep meep horn.

Thanks to the OP and MSBXIV for their information in this thread. Just installed an Accord horn (backwards per MSBXIV's suggestion) and it's working perfectly.

Any special installations needed to install PIAA?

Took about an hour.

The bad news is that while the Accord horn (low) is much better than stock, it's still not all that great. I will be putting in PIAA horns (500hz and 600hz) once they get here. Also, since I'm not a fan of modifying the wiring harness, I cut the connector off the stock horn an soldered a lead to it. Now I can connect into the stock harness without cutting it. The end of the lead will go into the relay which will be wired as normal
hi tr4boy, i want to upgrade to a PIAA horn and wanted to know if you could tell me if i can use just about any of them or was there a reason why you chose the 500/600.

any help on how to install a PIAA horn and info on alterations that need to be made would be super helpful.

SF Fit,

I have 500/600 pair on my '64 triumph tr-4 and like the tone. Seemed like a good fit for the Fit...

Installation is dead easy...just follow the diagram...really simple.
