(single) Windshield Wiper Stopped Working -- Fixed
Just wanted to share a tip -- probably obvious to the mechanically inclined (and lmk if I missed anything)
It's an '09 Fit Sport Auto, purchased in late '08.
My wife came home this evening, saying her pax side wiper was making weird noises this morning. By the time she came home this evening, the pax side wiper wasn't moving at all.
I moved both blades in the standard motion, with the engine off. The drivers side had just a little give. The pax side rotated freely all the way across the windshield.
I realized that there was a removable cap where the blade connected to the car. I removed it (easy to do by hand), saw the bolt. Instinctively I put my fingers on it, and twisted. It was loose!
I tightened it, all is well, and my wife thinks I'm a genius
