My wife works for the dealership. I also get lots of free oil changes.

Does honda fit sport comes with cargo cover and liner in general? Or do I have to buy them separately? My Honda dealer did not give me any accessories after I purchased my overpriced one.

No, it only comes in Base, Sport and Sport with Navi and manual or automatic.

The accessories you have to add a la carte. Although I do have to say I get everything at true dealer costs because my wife works for the dealership. You can find the accessories cheaper online at wholesaler costs though. For instance, ~$160 for the cargo cover but online you can find it for $119.

I can't find the cargo liner online though. Not the cargo tray, the liner covers the entire cargo area when the seats are folded down. Need that because I'm hauling bikes and dog in the back.

The MSRP on mine (bought today) was 18,599 and I talked them down to 16,886 because my budget was actually 16,000. After a $500 trade in from my crappy car, I financed $16,386 at 3.99% (also another haggle down from 4.99, but I have a bankruptcy on my credit so not bad at all).
Drove it home an hour ago!!!

I'm talking to a dealership in Birmingham, AL. they gave me a quote today for $19, 260.57 for a 2012 Fit Sport MT, and it seems way too high after what you guys are paying. here's how they broke it down:

MSRP: 17850
pinstripe: 199
Total Sales price: 18049

billing & clerical feeds: 499.50
subtotal: 18548.50

AL state tax: 695.57
title fee: 16.50
unpaid balance: $19260.50

any thoughts on this? I was expecting more to see $17.5 out the door.

Imo, that's too high. I think I paid 18K OTD for my Fit Sport MT in Dallas 3 years ago.

Tell them you want to do 18K OTD or walk.
You can find better.

18k sounds better. they'd have to get the car I'm looking at from Tennessee, though. I'm wanting to get one in Vivid Blue.

Typo? Payment to cost does not compute.

MSRP: 17850 - I would bargain off their invoice price, which they probably already got for less, due to dealer volume discounts and incentives, which they don't show you.

pinstripe: 199 -I guess you can't take off the pinstripe, like a cargo tray or wheel locks...

Total Sales price: 18049

billing & clerical feeds: 499.50 -billing and clerical fee is just a crazy markup - talk em down some more and be prepared to walk out the door. The dealer literally came after me as I was about to drive off the lot without buying his Fit He knocked off a few hundred from this clerical fee...

AL state tax: 695.57
title fee: 16.50
- verify from another source that this is correct for your state.

I'm probably an exception, because Ore doesn't have sales tax and I bought in dec when the dealer was probably trying to increase end of year sales quotas, but I got my 2012 silver MT Sport for $16.7 out the door.

he said the dealer got no incentives from selling any Fits, though. still, Edmunds said $17.6 is the average of what people have been paying for a manual Fit Sport w/o NAV in this area...

18,8 Fit Sport A/T
W LED illumination, Door Vents and Cargo Tray
Plus Gap Insurance, Extended Warranty...

BUT, the dealership includes
Oil Changes, State Inspections
Lifetime warranty on engine
Lifetime warranty on all service and parts through dealership

It was a little steep, but the more I drive her, the more I love her!

I paid $19,000 out the door cash price for my new orange Fit Sport AT. They unloaded it off the delivery truck right when I got there, so there weren't any costly but useless dealer add-ons.
The orange Fits are in short supply at Virginia dealerships...there are plenty of black, white, and silver Fits, but not many orange ones....

Just got my 2012 base A/T last night in Sacramento. My price was 16,100 which came to 17.6k otd and go all season floor mats thrown in. It seemed like a good deal so I jumped on it instead of my used 2010 offer.

Even if it wasn't the best deal, it seemed fair and I'm stoked!

Taken from the other thread but want to post so my price is on record and may help others:

Greetings to everyone from Virginia!

After a few rounds of haggling, I'm the proud new owner of a Tafetta White 2012 Honda Fit Sport Auto.

I paid $18,600 OTD (which my version of OTD means after all tags/title fees/processing/other dealer BS). I think I did pretty good and I used this invaluable thread alot in negotiating, so thank you to everyone!

I am coming from a 2011 Tacoma, loved the truck but the gas mileage was killing me. I picked the Fit up last night and have been smiling since. What an amazingly fun little car. The fact that my car payment has basically been cut in half is just icing on the cake.
