To actually answer the op's question..... Im pretty sure it WILL work with the 2012's. They didnt change anything with the engine or the ECU, so any GE8 intake should work. The Typhoon is good because it works with M/T and A/T.

I totally agree. It should work on the 2012 without any problems. If you really want to make sure, give K&N a call.

No intake is worth it on the fit unless you are going for a different Sound or you just don't want to use disposable filters. The ECU Adjusts to the intake over a fairly short period of time and any performance gains you get at first are negated. The ECU is tuned for Economy and accordingly, it adjusts itself automatically to meet those needs. Performance upgrades on the fit are limited to suspension, grip, and Weight reduction. HP without a custom forced induction system isn't really an option.

Like these guys said, yes it will work, but don't expect any real gains in power. At best you'll get more engine growl under hard acceleration and maybe a slight bump in mpg (if you can keep your foot out of it!).
I'm planning on getting a PRM intake for my 2012 Sport Auto just for the sound. On the videos I've seen the Fit engine sounds awesome with an intake!

As someone who actually has a Typhoon intake on their fit, not just speculators, It will fit your "fit". You get much more intake noise under the hood, enough so that in parking garages and underpasses, its actually pretty loud (but sounds great). Not really much of an increase in MPGs, however there is a noticable increase in torque around 4,000 RPM, along with a nice noticeable increase in sound (VTEC engaging?)
Worth the money for sure.

Just be careful with those K&N (and other aftermarket) filters. The silicone levels in my oil spiked way up when I used a K&N. This usually means dirt getting through the filter. Changed back to factory paper and all is normal.

Bingo! The other downside of oiled cloth filters is that the dirt that passes, along with a slight oil mist can coat the MAF sensor wire, throwing a CEL code.

After reading up more on oiled cone filters, I picked up and AEM dryflow (21-2011DK). Fits perfectly and looks much nicer than the tiny K&N the Typhoon comes with. No difference in sound, but more peace of mind knowing there will not be any oil or as much dirt seeping through.

2009-2013 intake should all fit the same, with the exception of Automatic models on some cold air intakes dont seem to fit.
